Olejniczak & Richardson and Oprandi & Partner jointly presented the second seminar in Warsaw on how to use Polish employment law to improve the performance of employees.  In this second part of a two seminar series the focus was on culture and the management of talent.

Catherine Hall of Oprandi, discussed corporate culture and values and the problems that arise when the application in practice fall short of the publicly expressed ideal.  This has a profound affect on a company’s ability to attract retain and develop talent and Catherine gave examples of best practice to address these issues was being applied.  Joanna Chmiel an employment law specialist from Olejniczak & Richardson, then explained how to run the recruitment process and to structure employment relationships in order to motivate, develop and retain employees, applying corporate values to deliver success. 

Nicholas Richardson said: “Too often little more than lip service is paid to corporate culture and values and the very lively discussion at today’s seminar showed that there is a great need for companies to address these issues if employees are not to become frustrated and de-motivated.” 

Lionel Hall of Operandi said: “This is a hot topic which companies ignore at their peril if they are to perform effectively in an ever more competitive business environment.  All companies can improve how they deliver their cultural values and attract and retain the best talent.”
